AND I know some of these guys weren't recruited by him or his fault.....blah blah. The fact still remains that they left for one reason or another(and most were because of coaching and philosophy change). Didn't happen under the watch of Johnny, T.Floyd, L.Eustachy, or W.Morgan?? HHHMMMM wonder what the problem is???

Re: All Transfer Team?
Carr and Taggert were leaving under Morgan. This has happened under every coach for 15 years. It's not suddenly a new thing here.

Re: All Transfer Team?
Derrick Hayes would be on my first team. He was coached under Johnny Orr and I believe transfered to Detroit.

Re: All Transfer Team?
What especially hurts is that Wesley Johnson is now the leading candidate for college basketball player of the year AND the very first pick in the NBA draft.
Talk about letting one slip away. AAAAAArrrrghhhh!
I truly believe that if JP hadn't signed GMac to such a horrible extension, he would probably be gone after this season. But there is no way that JP can afford to fire him now. We're ISU, not Notre Dame. We don't have that kind of cash.
So we might as well get used to GMac being here a while longer and support him no matter what. He's not going anywhere. So it doesn't help to constantly bash him. It won't make any difference to JP. His hands are tied, by his own doing.

Re: All Transfer Team?
I thought about Cory Johnson and what he may have been. He starts for a 10-12 Valoraiso team. Playes a little over 29 minutes a game, 15.5 p/g and 6.4 r/b, but he's playing...

“I’m just glad I have Homan as my bodyguard,” Eustachy joked. “If I ever make it real big and get to drive a limo everyday, he’ll be driving it. I thought he came off the bench like somebody was stealing his cow or something.” http://blogs.dmjuice.com/?cat=43 -

I will defend Floyd and LE to the hilt, but this makes no sense. The NCAA 5/8 rule is because of Floyd and Power left under LE (despite the fact LE didn't even understand it)

At least we'd have a deep bench on this team.

You're making an argument about McDermott player retention (never mind the fact that you didn't actually make it in your first post but) and you include on your list one player the left under GMac and three others that left under different coaches (Taggart being borderline)?
I'm noting the time. Are you drunk posting?

I always like Cory Johnson. He hustled all the time, and really had some good post moves down low. Much better post moves than Brackins has... that's for sure.
I'm not saying Cory is better than Craig, don't get me wrong here, but he was a LOT more comfortable on the block than Craig was... and more effective. And he was a lot shorter. But he had a great spin move with his back to the basket down low.

I forget, how many times was Cory triple teamed when he was here?
