The fact is, 2.5 mil that it would take to fire mcdermott goes a long way towards the up-front cash needed to start bowling in the end zone. Given that those who seem to have 'inside' knowledge say he's safe, im guessing that conclusion has been reached in the AD office too.
Oregon is a very good job. They're opening up a new $200 million arena next year, which I'd imagine would be a great thing to have in recruiting. They've had some success recently (a couple Elite 8's this decade), and that conference is completely up-for-grabs, so I think a good coach could come in and have quite a bit of success fairly quickly there.
Coach Kent for oregon has done a good job but ever since ridinour left and jones left, they have been re building.. i follow alot of oregon athletics and also there will be alot of jobs opening up
