Basically every game we lose comes down to TO's, poor FT%, out rebounded, and lack of agressiveness. Those thing should lead to losses obviously, but you think in a couple losses we would play well and the other team plays well and we just can't pull out a W.

Lucca couldn't do what Greg was trying to allow him to show. Like a lot of the rest of the team he couldn't play defense, he didn't even attempt to rebound, he didn't handle the ball very well, he couldn't get to the hole. Basically he could shoot and that is it.

He rebounded and played a lot more defense right before he bolted for Germany. So, when it was in it for him to seal his deal, he did all that stuff a lot more.

Couldnt run the baseline...fight through screens. He could stand in one spot and get ready to shoot.

Seriously, did you look at the word numerically? Numerically, the situations are more similar than one would want. Both had scholarship problems, very few players, and messed-up reputations to rebuild. Based on the numerical problems, neither one was going to be anything near a quick fix.

I'm sure Osoprimo will stop by and let us know of some secret tradition that Baylor had
When you couch it those it in those terms, I see your point, but the level of devastation between the two programs isn't even comparable. Let's not forget we'd had 3 NCAA tourney appearances in the 5 years prior to McDermott's take over, and Baylor hadn't been since, well, prior to the start of the Big 12.

I agree with that. But once all of your players are gone, it doesn't matter how often you've been to the tournament. That foundation is damaged.

I don't know of any Baylor tournament appearances prior to Drew. We'll need Osoprimo for that.

Where is he when we "need" him?

He is not "needed" when wikipedia is around...

    NCAA Tournament runner up: 1948
NCAA Tournament Final Four: 1948, 1950
    NCAA Tournament appearances: 1946, 1948, 1950, 1988, 2008

So, they've been to the final four more recently than ISU...

I am blown away that two different posters would research Baylor basketball. I'm sorry I led you to that.
But at least we didn't need Osoprimo.

Seriously, this team has already had numerous "wake up call" games and have not responded. What gives you any indication - more than 1/2 way through the season - that all of a sudden almost magically they will "step it up fast".

Either you have and show good effort all the time or you simply don't have it.

    Seriously.

I didn't say there was any indication of it. I said that they need to do it, and fast. Read the words that are there, champ, not the ones that aren't.

    second half adjustments

were talked about earlier. I think 3 or 4 of our first possessions were 3 pointers we settled for. That is just horrible coaching. Every time Brackins attempts one I want to jump through the TV and punch him in the nuts. Then I watch his guy get offensive board after offensive board without being blocked out and all he does is whine. Watching both he and McD whine when he cherry picked and blew the open dunk was enough for me. (Yes, I know the guy touched his other arm but what kind of ***** can't still throw that down?)

    Our whole team sickens me.

    Re: I am SO tired

Chest, I am sickened because I've followed ISU basketball for 30+ years. I used to plan my schedule around games. Couldn't sleep after losses. I have all the old players' posters in my basement. I have never seen an ISU team so undisciplined or a coach so inept. Now I can easily fall asleep DURING a game. This sickens me. I'm at the point where it is too hard to emotionally invest so much and get no return. I will always support ISU sports, but I'm not renewing my tickets with this Dbag at the helm, and I'm not willing to waste 4-6 hours per week being consistently disappointed.
