But it's also relevant when people want to toss out stats about years 1 and 2 and lesser extent 3.

I would actually like to hear more solutions. Both if he were to go or to stay. so if we shouldn't post about GMac anymore because its all been rehashed ... what other aspect of the MBB would you like to talk about? is any other player wearing a t-shirt with words on it this week?
there are not going to be many "good" topics in MBB until we start winning. if its that painful you might as well shut the forum down.

It's a group that likes Mac, understands there are tons of exstenuating circumstances in many of the seasons, not sure what to make of his progress/lack of success, aren't happy overall and are round-about 95% sure that he need to go - but are in a quandry on whether they want him removed because that is in fact the best thing for the basketball program, or the simple reason that it's the only way to get a certain segment of our "fans" to shut the hell up.
Proud, charter member of Group 4. The bottom line is that if ISU basketball continues to circle the drain then it is going to create more problems for other programs. Let's face it.... Our budget isn't exactly healthy and another year or two of this garbage and the dollars that our Athletic Dept counts on to fund athletic programs is going to dry up. ISU absolutely can't afford to let that happen. Fans are already fed up and if it wasn't for CPR and the football teams success on the field this entire fanbase would be in a meltdown mode that would even make the 4 horsemen of the Apocolypse jealous.

I think Reebok Pumps could really help this team with not only speed and quickness but also jumping. We gotta Pump it up.

The thing is, you can throw **** at the man all you want, but until the decision is made for him to leave (by folks who matter), threads like this dont seem to have a point. We get it, he is underachieving and underperforming here. Lots of what ifs. What if we all stop going to games. Would it send a message that the fanbase is fed up? Sure it would. But what coach would be dying to get in here to replace him. An expensive one.

Re: Cold, Hard Facts
I like Mac and I want to see him succeed, but at this point I really have my doubts. When I look at what football did at Nebraska, when I see what the twister sisters do all the time, I have to wonder why Mac hasn't been able to do anything in 4 years. Sure he has had bad luck, but so has football. If Mac would have won even one game against a ranked team I might feel differently.

There are only so many coaching positions in the NCAA ... or in any sport for that matter, which is why the Raiders still find coaches willing to interview.

Re: Cold, Hard Facts
Didn't I make an indepth thread about this with way more statistics like a month ago? Yes, we all know our Big 12 record is absolutely horrid.
