I was not one that was asking for Morgans head either, I think that we could have gotten where we want to be on his coaching ability and the recruits that were getting here. The on court progress was not at issue with WM. The problems were the grades, and non-graduates, and the the way those players were being brought in.
The administration made a good decision at an APPROPRITE time and the fans who want this team to succeed long term need to realize that. They also should realize that the administration will follow an appropriate timetable with GM as well. When and if the time comes They will make that decision based on the input of real fans. Those are the comments made directly to them by the people that support this team in a healthy way. Whining on a message board will change nothing with the timetable without first causing damage to the fanbase and program.
While addressing your concerns in a healthy way to the people who make decisions with a letter to the aministrators while still supporting the productive aspects of the program will bring about stronger and lasting change and foundation. Honestly do you think off the handle ******** on an (all due respect) semi-obscure website is making anything BETTER in the program?
I'm a little scared that I am not worthy to post in your thread oh mighty one.
But I will.
I never drink Kool-Aid from a person that knows not how to spell it!
I cheer for two teams, Iowa State and whoever is playing the hawkeyes.
Here's a little more water to even out the mix:
It used to be that we could beat anyone rated #1 at Hilton. It really had little to do with the season and quality or number of players we had that season. Now we struggle to beat even the lowliest of big 12 opponent. I don't think it has a thing to do with the B12 getting tougher from top to bottom. The dogs are still the dogs. The only real difference, is that now we are a dog at home as well as on the road.
Lucca, Booz, JVB, Pomlee aren't excuses, but they aren't magically not-facts-that-affected-our-season either.
I remember when Johnny Orr's teams seldom used anything but 6 players.
Larry Eustachy rotated 6 or 7 players in the season that we went to the NCAA semi's. He had no choice. Most of the players were hurt, or of such low quality that Drake..check that...UNI...no....WE wouldn't even offer them a scholly under normal circumstances.
