All Iowa State Intramural Team

A friend of mine and I were having a conversation about who you would pick from Iowa State past and present if you were putting together an IM basketball team This is completely different than your All-Time Iowa State team, as intramural basketball is a much different animal.

PG- Jacy Halloway: Every good IM team needs a guy that is willing to play defense, pass the ball around, and not take TOO many shots.

SG- Kantrail Horton: He would be a great asset hoisting it from deep. As anyone who has played intramural basketball, the game is often won and lost from behind the 3 point line.

SF- Rashon Clark: Who is going to jump with him? Watching the alley oops would make the game fun.

PF- Kenny Pratt: Many intramural games get a bit heated and nearly come to blows. Who else would you want if push came to shove?

C- Jackson Vroman: One of the best parts about intramural basketball is partying after the games are done. Vroman is our go to guy for the party.

I think it's a requirement that every IM basketball team have a guy that is more fit for football. Candidates would be...

- Brent Curvey

Pogo Allen used to play ball at the college I went to. He was like 4th man off the bench for a terrible team.

In that case, I would maybe swap out Clark with Stevie Johnson, kill to birds with one stone there.

If the rules are that you can't go inside the lane if you are a guy, I put Angie Welle at PF and Anna Prins at C, keep Halloway and Horton and put Dedric Willoughby at SF.

I'd vote for kucyclone. Word on the street is that he has 15 IM shirts from back in the day.

Pratt is the best pick up ball player I have ever seen. The guy was unbelievable.

I'd believe it. This all came about, by the way, because I am a grad student at Iowa and had heard that Acie Earl still has a team that plays in the IM league.

2 t-shirts say you always play 3-girls if you can ... nobody else does, so it gives you a huge advantage if you can cover the 3 pt line with 2 guys.

Give me 2 good posts, 1 decent dribbler for fast breaks ... and 2 guys to look cool after they win the damn thing.

on a side note I reffed a team that had Sage & Andy Stensrud on it ... they both could really play.
