Compelling argument. I'm sold.

I've heard this before.. In fact, I was hearing a lot of it last year.

I cheer for two teams, Iowa State and whoever is playing the hawkeyes. -
Re: we will get better in the coming seasons...
Im willing to wait it out as well, i like the recruits we are starting to get. However if we do have a chance at a really good coach like the dayton coach id be willing for a change.

Depth is SEVERELY overrated in college basketball. We need talent, legitimate talent at the guard spots if we want to have ANY chance.

I would not vote for starting over at this point as there is no guarantee ISU could land a coach that could do much better, however, I would be completely surprised if we win consistently under this coach and refuse to drink the kool-aid any longer until he proves it with results. Don't hold your breath.

Re: we will get better in the coming seasons...
There is some truth to what the OP said. We will maybe win 2-3 Big 12 games this year, so it will be difficult for us to be worse the coming seasons.

They go 7 deep, and those 2 subs rarely play. The beat top 10 duke last Saturday, and beat the #2 team in the nation today. Depth is way overrated.

I think a backcourt with Colvin and Philips takes this team and makes huge strides. The athleticism and scoring ability would be much improved.

Re: we will get better in the coming seasons...
I really think we need to wait and see if we can get Randle or Paige and keep Staten, as these are the types of guards it takes to win in the big 12 along with Colvin. And maybe see if we can get Jok

Re: we will get better in the coming seasons...
I also agree that depth is overrated. Final Big 8 tournament Jacy and Dedric played every minute in the tourney. Team used two subs that year mainly. Elite 8 team. 8 players also.

They are 18-22 year olds with who should be in fantastic shape. Give me 6-7 guys with a good point guard and let them play.
