Show the Cyclones some love

I'm sick of seeing us stick with highly ranked teams and then when the highlights are shown on ESPN, we barely get mentioned and we NEVER get any highlights. I remember after the kansas game this year they showed Kansas making a three, but they didn't show Gilstrap dunking over Alrdrich. Come on, show us some love.

Most people will watch SportsCenter to see teams like Kansas, Texas, etc win since winning programs have broad appeal. No one outside of Ames, with the exception of a few displaced alumni, cares about a crappy ISU basketball team.

Beating those ranked teams, rather than just play with them for 20 minutes, will get us love. Maybe.

btw, ESPN did show a few of our highlights when we were leading then-#1 Texas at halftime.

Lots of teams "stick with" highly ranked teams. The teams are highly ranked because they find ways to win at the end. Unfortunately we don't.

I'm not saying we should be on there evert night but if we have a sweet dunk or awesome play, real basketball fans would want to see it regardless of if we won the game or not

Actually thats where you are wrong, we usually have more highlight reel dunks and blocks then the other team. Just doesnt matter because we always lose.

We havent been 'close' to beating anyone good all year. We scored some cheap threes at the end of KSU to look like it was close. Texas and KU werent close.

ISU fans have a distorted view of what playing 'close' to a good team actually is. When you lose by 15+ points 17 times in the Greg McDermott era in conference play alone.. losing by 8 seems pretty good.
