Actually I have always loved #1 on Clarks Highlight film. The whole sequence of the throw down against Virginia is amazing.

Hornacek's inbound pass and subsequent dunk by Elmer Robinson against Michigan late in the game. It helped seal the win against the mighty Wolverines in the NCAA 's and put ISU in the Sweet Sixteen. I think it was after this game that Johnny got off his famous quote about kicking Vitale's *** on ESPN.

It wasn't the greatest dunk, but it was one of the most meaningful.

That Orr quote came during the selection show on ESPN. Not sure which year, but I'm pretty sure it was the year we were 5-9 in a ridiculously difficult league and Vitale didn't think we should've gotten in.

Yea, that may have been it. The memory's not what it used to be. Johnny at his best though...

Manning was left holding his jockstrap, but the dunk was 200% over Dreiling.

The Grayer dunk was one of the most amazing I have ever seen, because it came out of no where. I was thinking it was earlier than 86, but it was definitely from the right baseline at the Big 8 tournament. People were talking about that dunk for a week after.

For those of us that are older, Terrance Allen used to absolutely sky as well. Back in 83/84, we ran an inbounds play under our own hoop, TA came straight down the lane and rocked the house. AWESOME!

Cato's spin move versus Cincy was awesome because he was not great in space and shocked everyone. By the way - it made One Shining Moment that year. Available on iTunes.
T was in my basketball officiating PE class. Gary Greenlee used to make us take turns throwing the ball up with T jumping just becaused he could jump so high. He told us if we could throw it up correctly for someone like T, we could get by in any high school game! T was a good rebounding guard too.

Mike Taylor had a sick dunk against Nebraska in Lincoln that I can remember.

Fizer over Mihm for me. Pretty much was the statement that ISU had arrived that season and also Fizer's 35 points on a guy at the time many thought was the best post player in the country put Fizer on the map as well. That was one of the loudest times I've heard Hilton.

Elmer was an amazing athlete. He could score big in a game, then completely disappear in them. My first intro to Elmer was the championship game of intramural 3-on-3. I was week, but we had a quick guard and a 6'9" center. We didn't know who Elmer was, but you couldn't pass around him. He was so quick and had such long arms he had a ton of stolen passes. After the game was said, "you should try out for the team." That was when he told us he was already accepted on the team. I can't remember if he had redshirted, transferred or had academic issues. dude had some off court challenges.

I agree. This was my favorite, especially because of how loud it got immediately after that.

He wasn't wide open. There was a defender there. No hot dogging involved.

I absolutely agree!! That whole sequence was amazing. You could absolutely see that play coming, yet it almost seemed unreal at the same time! That's just amazing court awareness all the way around!!
