Right now he probably is. If Gilstrap leaves, I would hate to rely on a freshman to start for us. Clyburn would be a very nice stopgap until Ejim is ready.

And this gives Ejim and Oliver time to develop, and show some glimpses of their future.

That's what I thought too. He would be nice to have so Ejim isn't relied on right away. Never know how freshman will come in and play.

I'm guessing Oliver is going to need more time than Ejim. Hopefully as a junior/senior he's able to contribute for us.

And will he be here after next year if he does indeed sign? Not a knock on him, moreso on McDermott and his lack of ability to hold onto players. I'd feel way more confident in next year's team if we had a different freakin' coach.

EXACTLY!!! You guys are complaining for many reasons this year and talent is one of the reasons. We are picking up mid major talent and they do not have enough to compensate for our lack of coaching. Lets save the scholly for some top D1 talent and quit going for average to high mid major talent.

Wow. This reminds me of a dream I had last night that I just now remembered. So, I turned on an ISU game and Oliver was playing. He was going strong to the hoop and jumped so high that he actually ended up dunking himself. He was halfway through the net and had to literally pull himself out of the hoop. Weird...
