Re: ***Predictions: Iowa State @ Colorado***
The scary thing is that Colorado has to feel like this is a game they have a real chance to win. There aren't many games in this conference like this for them. This is a real chance for them to solidify 10th place. That sounds terrible, but they were picked last, and to get 10th is an accomplishment, and something they can build upon.
Add our historic difficulties in Boulder and it doesn't look good.
I think that we are more talented than they are. And coming off a victory where we won because we were more talented, I think that offers hope.
I think it's a close game down the stretch, and whoever makes the fewest mistakes will pull it out. I hope it's us.
But it is entirely possible that this game will set basketball back a few decades. They should come out wearing the short shorts, Hickory style.

My guess is it'll be one of the ugliest games to ever exist. Both teams will play horribly, but CU will have the obligatory "We're facing ISU, who is gonna hit 7 threes?" guy, mostly in the second half.
CU 54
ISU 41

If we do happen to pull a rabbit out of our hat and win, I like the prospects of us beating MU at home on Tuesday... 5-11 doesn't sound so bad... does it (compared to 2-14 or 3-13)?

ISU wins it. I have a feeling -- but then I just did eat a gut-buster burger from some greasy spoon joint that I will never go back to.

If we can win 3 of the last 4 it gives some hope for the future. At least Pollard can sell that to the fans.

Colorado 61, ISU 57
It'll be ugly.

Re: ***Predictions: Iowa State @ Colorado***
Colorado has lost their last 2 games by a combined 49 points, and ISU is coming off a win. Momentum should help, and I will pick ISU in this one. 73-71 in a close one.

Re: ***Predictions: Iowa State @ Colorado***
Another "tough effort" where we "don't get the breaks".
CU 61 ISU 52

Re: ***Predictions: Iowa State @ Colorado***
I predict fans numbering in the double digits will watch the home team win.
"Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion man" -
Re: ***Predictions: Iowa State @ Colorado***
ISU is starting to figure it out......ISU 82, CU 70 -
Re: ***Predictions: Iowa State @ Colorado***
I just can't see ISU winning out there. Some of ISU best teams ever gotten hammered out in boulder, and this is definitely a team that does not fall into that category.

Re: ***Predictions: Iowa State @ Colorado***
52-60 unless CB becomes a force.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -

The Good News is we are not going to finish LAST in the Big XII.
The Bad News is we are not going to make it ALL THE WAY up to 10th.
CU wins.

Re: ***Predictions: Iowa State @ Colorado***
If Dan Hawkins is within a mile of the arena I take the Cyclones.
In all seriousness though I just don't have all that much faith in our team irregardless of the win against Nebby. I am guessing we will keep it close throughout the game, have a chance to win, but make too many bad decisions/turnovers to overcome. We usually play to the level of our opponents until the last 3 minutes of the game where we trade our skills with the Ames middle school team.
