Kind of surprised there isn't a thread on here about it...but maybe the threads are being deleted? If that's the case, that's fine if this is as well...

Thread on the Hawkeye Lounge is saying Pollard is meeting with McDermott and he is going to be let go around the NCAAs. I'm assuming it's a 'i heard from someone who knows someone' type of rumor, but interesting nonetheless. Anyone heard anything like that?

I haven't heard anything, and I think the general consensus on here is that it's not gonna happen this year

I have heard of similar threads on other websites, but I've heard it's pretty much a legless rumor. Who knows? Pollard keeps things close to the vest, but where there's smoke, there's usually a fire. I have a feeling my productivity is going to be crap this week.

How do you know what the thread states?

I frankly would be surprised if Pollard is acting on anything right now. If he is, I'm interested in knowing where that dinero is coming from.

From what i understand theres also a thread on CR about it.

Whether the story has legs to it, who knows... but smoke often means fire.

Pollard probably saw the stats from the CU game and that immediately made up his mind.
ISU was +15 on the offensive glass and had 2 fewer turnovers than CU. And they had 13 more field goal attempts and like 9 or 10 more free throw attempts.
And they lost.

From what I know, there are no legs to any of these rumors. I have been at practice/press conference stuff all day and nobody has any confidence that any of this stuff is true.

good to know, thanks Chris. However, it's not like I would expect anyone to admit there is truth to it at this time anyway. Why would they?

I would frankly be surprised if ADJP isn't taking some kind of action right now. There is no way that he is going to sit around and let a revenue generating sports program sink deeper into the quagmire.
