Big 12 next year...
Say McD is back next year....without Strap and CB...but no other defections. How does the rest of the Big 12 shape up in 2010/11?
This year was and is an amazing year for the conference...which doesn't bode well for your team that has been crushed by injuries and defections. There simply is any other cupcakes or nights off.
The conference has to take a step back next year....right?

The conference has to take a step back next year....right? A helluva lot better than we do. End of story.

We'll battle kNU again for the cellar. And probably lose.

Re: Big 12 next year...
We better win all our non conference games so that we can win 15 again.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -

Re: Big 12 next year...
Look at the recruiting being done in the league and that will give you the answer. We are equal to, or ahead, of Nebraska, Colorado, and maybe Texas Tech.
I don't know the make up of their rosters. Assuming just Brackins goes, we have a chance to finish ahead of those schools. Losing both Craig, and Gilstrap probably puts us in this equation somewhere between 9-12.

Losing both Craig, and Gilstrap probably puts us in this equation somewhere between 9-12. Nebraska projects to be much improved with the return of injured players Niemann and McCray. Niemann has the skills to be one of the better post players in the league and McCray is an athletic wing type that many teams would welcome.

I cheer for two teams, Iowa State and whoever is playing the hawkeyes. -
Re: Big 12 next year...
Good question... I'll put some thought into this today and make a big long post. I've got the time.

I don't want to even think about him being on the sidelines next season. Since you said that though, for the sake of asking a question....I would have to go with 11th or 12th again.
Time for Gmac to go.

Re: Big 12 next year...
I think this is the reason GMac is gone after this year. Absolutely no hope for next year...unless we have a new coach.

Re: Big 12 next year...
If Gilstrap and Brackins both leave, we will then return only one player who averaged over 7.5 ppg this year - Garrett at 8.9.
I'm sure that would put us in the bottom of the league for returning scoring strength.
