I think it's called uber-momentum. I haven't quite figured out the logic behind it yet.

I think "momentum" is overstating it a bit, but consider this: I think I heard on the TV broadcast last night that we've lost seven games versus ranked opponents by seven points or less. We're not pushovers. We'll make you work for a win, and as we showed last night, we just might actually beat you.

On the other hand, it's also possible Texas could blow us out.

Iowa State doesn't have nearly as much to gain as Texas does. Texas is playing to improve their seeding in the NCAA tournament.

And yes if I were the coach of Texas I would love to be playing either Nebraska or Iowa State.

I like how we match up against Texas better than we would have Baylor. It would take an unbeliable run to pull off the whole thing, I'd be happy with at least 1 win in the tourney at this point. We don't have a deep enough bench right now to pull off 4 straight wins in 4 days against good teams but we can all root like hell for these guys and hope for the impossible.

Glad this team finally got that big reward for all their hard work. They have had so many bad breaks this season and been so close many times but have never quit like so many fans here have on them so this win was the reward they badly needed to justify all the hard work they have put in and their no quit work ethic.

If nothing else I'm sure TX won't be over looking us. For 2 reasons, we have already played them close and then our victory last night.

That being said I'm guessing they probably arn't scared either.

would be great if we could snag at least 1 victory in the Big XII tourney. 2 victories is an extreme longshot, but could get us in the NIT if done. i think the rule is that a team has to at least have a .500 record to make the NIT.

If you compare how we competed against all the teams in the Big 12 vs. the other bottom feeders, yes we look the scariest. We competed when others would roll over and die. No goggles here.
