Hamm's Beer song returns

I noticed tonight that the pep band was playing the Hamm's beer song during a timeout.
This is the first time that I've heard it during a game in years.
When did they bring it back?

How sad is it that a pep band song was the highlight of my night...

It's the Beer Barrel Polka not Hams beer song and it has been around for several years.

Who wrote "chants", cause the beat n such sounds just like it. Where the cheerleaders do the gatorchomp from side to side during it. How is it different?

^This, you heard chants which is similar.

Chants is played every year in both football and basketball. Easy to mistake.

You're focusing on the drum beat. That makes it sound similar. Ignore the drums and listen to the horns and the actual Hamm's jingle. It's entirely different.

I couldn't tell you who wrote chants, but it's definitely different... the bass brass part especially. The trumpet part sounds similar, but it's still different towards the end of the phrase.

And this is played at every home game.

you guys are killing me. I closed the Espn360 window, and they don't have the replay back up yet....
I know what the "chants" song is, and I swear that is not what they were playing.

And yes, I know why they stopped playing it, and that they will never play it again.....
