Re: Larryball in C-USA semis
He just gets into the game, literally onto the court. He's great.

Re: Larryball in C-USA semis
Entertaining finish ahead. I miss Larry.

Re: Larryball in C-USA semis
I hate to bring this up but I will. With JP here do you think he would look into LE if he were making a change? I think LE would come back. Contracts can be structured in a way that would really make LE behave. I also think their personalities would mesh well. They both really like to tell people how it is. I don't know if it could ever happen, I don't know if LE holds bad feelings toward us or not. I think business wise, it would be brilliant. LE would draw a bunch of tickets just himself. I know the odds of this happening are about 1/1000000 and before someone else says it I am saying there's a chance.
I'm on Twitter too: Tre4ISU
Or so I have read. -
Re: Larryball in C-USA semis
I'd welcome Larry back, especially since we could get him on the cheap.
Southern Miss going to come up a little bit short, it appears.

Re: Larryball in C-USA semis
I never wanted to lose him.
I wanted him back after Wayne lost control of the program.
Obviously, I'd still take him back in a heartbeat.

I'd also support Larry II.

Re: Larryball in C-USA semis
You know what the difference is??? I just saw it!!!
It's PASSION!
Did you see the look on the face and the tears of the fouled out player on the bench?
Did you see that expression on LE's face?
REAL, HONEST PASSION

Re: Larryball in C-USA semis
I'm good with Larry, part 2. When he came back for the alumni game a few years ago, it was just awesome. He is a true Cyclone, even with his faults. And, his team at Southern Miss has NO facilities, is impossible to recruit to, and he has very little talent, yet they upset UAB yesterday and played Houston, a team with a lot of talent (top scorer in the nation), pretty well.
We could pretty much choose any team in Conference USA to take a coach from; they've got some great ones. Larry, Barbee, Mike Davis, even a guy like Tom Penders.
My first ISU basketball game - Fred Hoiberg was on the court.
My first ISU football game - Paul Rhoads was on the sidelines.
But they hadn't yet reached their full potential.
SO PROUD that things have come full circle. #cyclONEnation -

Re: Larryball in C-USA semis
It would be culture shock for our current roster, but I could see Colvin and Boozer stepping up big time in a LE coached team. C-USA may not be a power conference, but they have some big-time coaches in the league and to have a 20 win season is pretty darn good.

Re: Larryball in C-USA semis
I think LE would come back in a heart beat. Come on JP make it happen.

Re: Larryball in C-USA semis
Watching the end of their game against UAB yesterday was a thing of beauty...they were up by 10 with 2:30 or so left, and Larry was goin nuts on the sideline hollering at his team to get a stop...they responded, got a stop, and put the game away...they also acted like they knew they were supposed to win the game afterwards instead of jumping around like they just made it to the sweet 16.

Re: Larryball in C-USA semis
After seeing Larry at the Barry Stevens tribute (or was it the all century game?) game there is no doubt in my mind that he would return. And I am in for 4 tickets if so. Likely 0 if McD is still here. I will just add to my football tickets instead so that ISU doesn't lose my money, just my support for ISU hoops in its current state.
