    Re: Jordan Railey

Greg Hicks who heads up recruiting news on the West Coast for Scout.com has Jordan as the 3rd-ranked overall center on the West Coast in the Class of 2010.

    http://scouthoops.scout.com/a.z?s=75...%2f898963.html

Scout.com: West Coast 2010 Rankings: Centers

    1) Josh Smith, 6-9, Kent (Wash.) Kentwood
    2) Brandon Cataldo, 6-9, Rainier (Ore.) High Portland State
    3) Jordan Railey, 6-9, Beaverton (Ore.) High
    4) Simi Fajemisin, 6-9, Lynwood (Wash.) High
    5) Johnny McArthur, 6-8, Concord (Calif.) De La Salle Santa Clara
    6) Alex Kirk, 6-10, Los Alamos (New Mexico) High
    7) John Ryan, 6-8, El Segundo (Calif.) High
    8) Darrel Haley, Jr., 6-9, Palmdale (Calif.) High
    9) Michael Kurtz, 6-10, Roseville (Calif.) Woodcreek
    10) Dennis Kramer, 6-8, Carlsbad (Calif.) La Costa Canyon

DJ Haley also has an offer from ISU but I think he committed to VCU recently.

Yeah, Haley is going to VCU. I'm surprised that Alex Kirk is that low, he is a stud.

I hope not. We never have depth. It would be nice to have some extra bodies at our disposal even if they are true freshman...

    Re: Jordan Railey

Railey is more highly rated than Hamilton and Hamilton came in and performed well. Also, if you look on ESPN he is more highly rated than Ejim so take that for what it is worth. I think this kid will see significant minutes for a freshman.

I also don't think a huge bulky guy is needed to be an effective rebounder or post player. Look at K-States inside guys. They are athletic and lean, they have muscle but are not bulky by any means. Or look at Udoh at Baylor. A lot of rebounding is desire and fundamentals.
