GMac might have to play "Princeton" ball
I'm not sure GMac will ever be able to get top notch talent to come to ISU anymore? His reputation is too damaged right now. Would you want to send your kid to play for a head coach with GMac's record of defections? I wouldn't.
As of right now, he has 4 open schollys to give out, correct? I think if I were him, I'd go get 4 really smart scrappy players that can shoot the ball like crazy.... and run the "Princeton" offense.
I'm just not convinced he can now get the raw athletic talent he needs to compete in the Big 12. We need to just play really tough scrappy defense, and be a team of great 3 point shooters and a back door cutting offensive scheme... like Princeton or Northwestern.
I don't see any other way right now.
Re: GMac might have to play "Princeton" ball
If we are starting a new offense, we should do it with a new coach. There is no reason to believe that if he changes offenses that all of his players would not transfer.

I think Princeton's team could beat ours next year.

Well considering that GMac's team photo looks kind of like this:

Yes, I think Princeton would beat them.
Re: GMac might have to play "Princeton" ball
Well on the positive side we do have immediate playing time available for anyone worth a darn.

you dont change yor style of play midway through your career.
Re: GMac might have to play "Princeton" ball
Will we have anyone that can execute a backdoor pass?
Re: GMac might have to play "Princeton" ball
How do we accomplish that when the guards can't find an open post for a wide open basket to save their lives? On another note, since when did we become a junior college? Are the recruiters too inept to find high school talent?

I think you answered your own new question.
Re: GMac might have to play "Princeton" ball
I'd be in favor of the Princeton Offense. At least that offensive scheme has been proved to actually win!
