Re: How will you remember CB?

His signature game occurred in a 15 point home loss. That will speak volumes about the outfit he signed up for. A talented, well-spoken kid who definitely didn't make the all-time great list.

I'll remember Craig as a true Cyclone. He put the University and the fans ahead of himself, and it might have been to his detriment. He played on some ****** teams, but nothing against him for it.
In 1984, I was hospitalized for approaching perfection.

Re: How will you remember CB?

He was a good Cyclone. He wanted to win as much as anybody but lacked the intangibles to really lead a team. He would have flourished with a quality point guard but happened to step on campus a little late.

I will always be a CB fan because he passed up a chance to be a first round pick to come back and make the most of his college career. Unfortunately, the squad never meshed and he was plagued by some questionable coaching.

I'd say he goes down as a Victor Alexander with a legendary Lafester Rhodes performance against Kansas. He'll always be remembered as one the more talented guys we've ever had, just won't end up in all time greats list.

I fell so bad for CB. He deserved better. One of my favorite Cyclones. I hope he does great in the future.

Very good player, could get hot at times and make a spectacular play, but he never took over a game and willed us to a win that otherwise wasn't going to happen

I agree with the Victor Alexander reference. He was much better than he gets credit for due to the teams he played on. Craig may end up getting lost in the shuffle a bit due to that, but Craig is a great player.

I'll remember his epic game against KU, and the fact that he came back for his junior year.

Re: How will you remember CB?

Great kid, good work ethic, pretty much the kind of player anyone would be happy to have represent their team. But He'll probably never be able to live down not leaving early but despite the opinions of the Cyclone kool aid addicts and a few experts who only got tape of the KU game , no one really expected him to be a lottery pick. So after all is said and done delusional fans around here will cling to his imaginary lottery status and pin that lable on him for the life.

I like this, but I'll go one further and say he'll either A. Be given way too much credit and remembered only for his big games...or B. Not given enough credit due to the fact that he played on teams that struggled.

Do you think that people will remember him like Fizer and Hoiberg ect. Or will he be lost in the shuffle since the team was bad?

Unless CB performs in the NBA, he won't amount to much more than Tyrae Pearson in my mind. Is he a better player? Yes, but the lack of wins will severely diminish his legacy.

I wish he would have stayed one more year to reach 2,000 pts. Could've been ISU's #2 all-time scorer.

Re: How will you remember CB?

i will remember him by thinking about how he never really played good defense, often missed his box out assignments, but had a decent offensive game. I will also remember the fact that he was never on a winning team.

Craig was a good cyclone basketball player, but not a great one.

Depends on how well he does in the NBA. He wouldn't be the first player to go to the pros without a stellar college resume and shine. If he shines, or even develops into a good role player in the NBA, then I'm sure Cyclones will have no problem remembering him. Now Fizer was quite the opposite. He was great at ISU, and never quite panned out in the NBA. Given a choice between the two situations, I think both Brackins and Fizer would pick disappointment at ISU if they could have success in the NBA.

    Good luck to CB.
