How Long Before We Make The NCAA Tournament Again

I can remember the day WM was hired. I told a friend that I thought it would be 7 years before we made the NCAA tournament again. I figured 4 years before WM was let go and 3 years for his replacement to make the tournament.

Turned out to be wrong on that when WM made the NCAA's in his second year. Unfortunately was right about being in the tournament only once in seven years.

I think the 2nd year of our new coach...so 3 years from now.

Direct correlation to the amount of time before a coaching change is made.

We know 2 things
1) We cannot make the NCAA in a rebuilding year
2) Every year is a rebuilding year under McD

I vote next year because I'm an eternal optimist when it comes to ISU sports...and it dissappoints me nearly every year.

Is there some sort of rule that we must have at least 5 players on the roster in order to make the NCAA?

unless something drastic happens like Ben goes to auburn, and Greg Takes back the UNI job, we have no shot, but bigger things have happened, Hell we could just roll through the conference, and then go to.... oh wait............

I think this depends on whether GMac is here or not and how fast he's replaced if he is. If he stays here, maybe 3-7 years ...i'd really be surprised if it was less than 3 years from now. I give it as much as 7 years too.

If he's let go and we have a new coach next season, then 3 years could suffice.
