Maybe i'm not remembering right, but didn't his free throw shooting get better later in the season. I just remember watching him making more of them late in the season.

I'm sure he does. Whatever he's been doing isn't working. Maybe thinking about trigonometry and the physics of ballistics will help clear his mind while he's setting up...
