But those weren't the options. McDermott could get it on the right track (I am not suggesting he will but it is a possibility) or the shady coach we bring in could get caught with his hand in the cookie jar before we ever experience any of the success.

Of course this whole premise is flawed because I'm pretty sure there are more than 2 basketball coaches in the world.

(I know that I just started [or is it continued?] a **** storm by even suggesting the possibility that Coach McDermott could be successful.)

    Re: Calipari or McDermott

I voted for clean, and all those voting for Cal you would not last long as AD at Iowa State. The quickest way for me to quit giving money to ISU is to cheat.

I am on vacation so I do not want to take the effort, but I think you will find that the AD's that support and allow dirty programs are the first ones fired when they get caught.

Do all of you that vote for Cal think that steriods in MLB were okay?

The results of this vote unfortunately tells us a lot more about society than it does about the state of ISU MBB.

I am ready for some football!! BTW, if we find out CPR cheats, he should be fired.

When Cal shows up, things get better for the school. He is what you call a short term fix.
Which is horrible. He had players this year so I don't wanna hear it. Players come here and find out they don't want to play for him. Get rid of him then. Greg is a long term fix? For what?

Who is going to clean-up college basketball? Is it going to be all of the straight players getting together and saying enough OR is it going to be something similar to Jose Conseco (a fellow cheater that comes forward) OR will it continue on it's current path far into the next millennia?

Maybe Congress can clean it up.

Nope. Honor and building these players character to be successful outside of athletics comes first before any other thing.

On a side note...I think I might know you.

Driving off player after player is 'sleazy' in my book. Something is really wrong with the exodus we have. Isn't it kind of important that we players happy enough that they want to stay and play here?

As the sage Al Davis said "Just win baby"

I am kidding, winning is really fun though we should do it more often.

Hey, if I was choosing for troop leader of my hypothetical kid's Boy Scout Troop, I'd pick McDermott in a heartbeat.

    But this is college basketball.
