I think he can work his way into a Kurt Thomas or Antonio McDyess type of role on a team. Maybe not quite as good as those two guys, but if his sole job is to let other creats and hit 15 footers when he's open, I think he will be just fine.

Re: Scouts thoughts on Brackins
I'd say the guy is pretty spot on...no guard play.

Re: Scouts thoughts on Brackins
Sweet the only players we have coming back are guards and CB play his entire career without a guard.
If you have a problem - if no one else can help - and if you can find
them - maybe you can hire: The A-Team. -

I see him as a role player at best- maybe to a team that needs a 4 player who has good offensive tools but is less than average in about every other aspect of play. He needs to rebound and play defense at the NBA level and I don't think he proved that he could do that this season. I'm the biggest fan of Craigs but I just see him as a euro player...

Re: Scouts thoughts on Brackins
sorry but i dont think he will do much or nothing in the NBA...love him but i just dont see it hopefully im wrong but this year i seen alot of holes in his game such as forcing shots and taking bad angles...

Re: Scouts thoughts on Brackins
As usual, Jason King was pretty favorable to the KU guys

We never got to see what Craig could do on a team that gets up and down the floor.

Maybe I just had too high of expectations and remembered the misses more than the makes.
If he's going to make it in the NBA, he's going to need that outside shot, because I just can't see him being able to handle the inside game. For his sake, I hope its just that McD didn't use him properly, because he didn't look like NBA material to me this year.

Or Golden State..I think that would be a great fit. I can see him as an Anothony Randolph with a little less ball skill, and a better jump shot.

Re: Scouts thoughts on Brackins
No bus throwing here.
He's not one of the best players ever at ISU.
He's got no shot in the NBA.

He's got no shot in the NBA. I agree. If I were building a team, I'd take guys like Damien Staple, Jackson Vroman, Jared Homan and Jiri Hubalek ahead of Brackins. They knew their strengths and gave it all they had on both ends of the floor. I think our team will actually perform better without Brackins next year. They can't do any worse!
