BASKETBALL RECRUITING: Barnes and Clark in town tomorrow
Bo Barnes and Andre Clark will both be in Ames tomorrow.
Just talked to Barnes' prep school coach. I asked him why Bo doesn't hold more BCS offers. He told me that Cincinnati is now in the mix. Marquette, Providence and Penn State have also been recruiting him.
Sounds to me like if Iowa State offers tomorrow, Barnes would take it. I'll have a story up this afternoon.

Bo just hit a 3 from his home all the way to Hilton. I like this kid. Sign him!

Re: BASKETBALL RECRUITING: Barnes and Clark in town tomorrow
The lack of offers for Barnes is definitely concerning, but from all reports I've seen on the kid, he can play and certainly shoot the rock. I'd like to have a shooter that can not only hit a still shot but also create for himself off the dribble.

Good news on Clark. Barnes would be the last of my guard priorities. I would be ECSTATIC to land Pressey and a guy like Jett.

I see where Clark averaged 2.5 ppg and 1.8 rpg for Arkansas in 2008-2009. Curious if anybody had his stats for JUCO this year.

Have you not seen the videos of the kid pulling up from the parking lot and hitting 3's? The kid can shoot. We need at least one 3 point threat on the team and he can be that guy.

I like the fact that both of these guys don't have brothers that play for other Big 12 teams. I hope that McD realizes that when they visit tomorrow.

I just hope he is not Mike Evanovich. Hopefully more Hoiberg.
Nobody but HB knows for sure. You pretty much know nothing....like Knownothing would like to say.

Mostly sunny with a high of 56 degrees tomorrow in Ames. I wish it was a bit warmer. Weather on Visit Day at the very minimum plays a strong subliminal role. Go Bo Barnes, Go Andre Clark, and Go Cyclones!!!

So could Lucca. Unfortunately, our guards' one-dimensional game has been our biggest problem and reason for failure. Let's see:
DG - Can dribble, can't shoot, couldn't defend, but has improved there.
Lucca - Can shoot, can't dribble, can't defend.
Scotty - Shoots OK, dribbles decent, defends better than Lucca, but not great.
I see this kid as Lucca Part 2. Shooter, can't dribble, can't defend. If GMac hasn't figured out that these one-dimensional players has been his downfall, then he doesn't deserve to keep the job. Go for Clark, Wilkins and either Pressey or Jett.
