Matt Perrault of TheBlueJayCafe.com just told me that Iowa State and Creighton will play on Nov. 21 of next basketball season at the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines. He learned the date through some Creighton sources. Just passing along the word.

Creighton is usually solid. I know that UNI seems to have taken over the MVC but Creighton and Wichita State aren't bad teams to think about playing.

Creighton was terrible this season and will be terrible next season. This does nothing for Iowa State. ISU doesn't exactly invade the state of Nebraska for basketball talent so it does nothing for recruiting.
Sad thing is I wouldn't predict an Iowa State win against anyone right now. This would have been a fun matchup 10 years ago.
I had the misfortune of going to the ISU-Ohio State game a few years back at Wells Fargo. A very lousy experience. This looks like another big money-loser for the "Well". I'm guessing they'll have to eventually add slot machines to the bottom floor to help pay off this boondoggle as well.

Sounds to me like a non conference game I would want to add to the schedule. I know they weren't that good last year but cmon, they have represented pretty well in post season.

In todays DM register(saw at coffee shop) that AIB has put together a team as well...
