I don't see this team winning more than 2 or 3 Big 12 games. We likely have the worst front court in BCS conference basketball, especially if Dendy isn't around. It will be similar to Iowa's season this past year.

It won't be fun when a crappy Creighton team beats us by double digits in Des Moines.

I don't get why everyone thinks we are going to be so bad. The season is going to entirely hinge on DG (and CC if he stays). BB is so guard oriented. If DG can continue into this year like he ended last year. (agressive) Then there is a chance we could be decent. With a veteran line up of

DG
Scotty
Booz
Jaime V
Dendy

And CC / Oliver / Ejim / Demarcus Phillips all could possibly start or be very able substitutions.

I guess I just see a big surprise comming (if DG brings it) since know one is giving us a chance.

Mac is tired of the drama. Taking guys that will work hard, listen, go to war, leave it on the floor, and live with the result.

It took him going into his fifth year to have this intuitive grasp of reality.

I've heard from some guys who work for the football dept. that Mac's team and his coaching style is NOT sitting well with anyone. He's got this attitude around the athletic dept. making it seem like people "can't touch him".

Why shouldn't he feel untouchable? The guy has just put us through 4 of the worst years of men's basketball at ISU in my lifetime record wise, we can't keep players on campus, etc.... and our AD thinks he is doing a great job.

A good motion offense where everyone is moving and setting picks, timing is on between everyone will allow a team like what we'll see next year for ISU to actually compete offensively (something they didn't do/couldn't do this year due basing the offense around CB or even Ham down low and setting up shop for the whole possession). IMO, that's the only way they even come close to competing next year.

Greg doesn't run a motion offense. Have you learned nothing after four years? the offense you have seen the last four years is the offense you will get. Stagnant. Way too many set plays. not pretty to watch.

And yes, Colvin was totally overrated by our fanbase. The guy couldn't shoot and couldn't finish. He was a good defender. He had all the potential in the world but that doesn't matter. For ISU he was not a great player.

You are missing the point. Someone said that we are going to be good next year because DG is going to continue what he did his last 8 games. we were 2-6 with the way he played and that was on a team that is better than next years team. So unless the new guys step it up BIG TIME, like all conference big time, DG playing like he did the last 8 games won't make a difference. we will not be good.

Okay, colvin was probably a cancer as of late. Probably because he knew he was the only big 12 caliber player on the team and was sick of losing.

From what we've lost to what is coming in. We will total less wins next year.

Our staff thought they were Big XII caliber but they sure don't coach like it. See... I can do that too.
