Re: I guess I don't see us being as bad as Miller & Deace

I don't see this team winning more than 2 or 3 Big 12 games. We likely have the worst front court in BCS conference basketball, especially if Dendy isn't around. It will be similar to Iowa's season this past year.

It won't be fun when a crappy Creighton team beats us by double digits in Des Moines.

    DG
    Scotty
    Booz
    Jaime V
    Dendy

And CC / Oliver / Ejim / Demarcus Phillips all could possibly start or be very able substitutions.

I guess I just see a big surprise comming (if DG brings it) since know one is giving us a chance.
    It's not about the players.

It's about the crappy coach Gmac.

I've heard from some guys who work for the football dept. that Mac's team and his coaching style is NOT sitting well with anyone. He's got this attitude around the athletic dept. making it seem like people "can't touch him".

Why shouldn't he feel untouchable? The guy has just put us through 4 of the worst years of men's basketball at ISU in my lifetime record wise, we can't keep players on campus, etc.... and our AD thinks he is doing a great job.

JP's vote of confidence reminded me of this....

IMO, that's the only way they even come close to competing next year.
Greg doesn't run a motion offense. Have you learned nothing after four years? the offense you have seen the last four years is the offense you will get. Stagnant. Way too many set plays. not pretty to watch.

Oh.... you mean the 1 man motion while the other 4 stand and watch? I still haven't figured out why this doesn't work.

Re: I guess I don't see us being as bad as Miller & Deace

Can we get off DG? His last 8 games were good. He can't control everything that happens on the court. I have high expectations for him next year and I think people will be surprised because he really will have th reigns off because he will pretty much be it.

And yes, Colvin was totally overrated by our fanbase. The guy couldn't shoot and couldn't finish. He was a good defender. He had all the potential in the world but that doesn't matter. For ISU he was not a great player.

    DG's last 8 games:

    Pts: 11.5
    FG%: 44%
    RBs: 2.6
    Ast: 5
    TO: 2.5
    Stl: 1.25

We know what DG is and those are good numbers for him and most Big 12 PGs.

You are missing the point. Someone said that we are going to be good next year because DG is going to continue what he did his last 8 games. we were 2-6 with the way he played and that was on a team that is better than next years team. So unless the new guys step it up BIG TIME, like all conference big time, DG playing like he did the last 8 games won't make a difference. we will not be good.

From what we've lost to what is coming in. We will total less wins next year.

The guys we hoped to sign are going instead to university of no name.
Colvin may have thought he was a Big XII caliber player but he sure didn't play like one.

Simply bad? That is being very, very, very generous. I would type how bad we are going to be but you would just have to guess what I wrote because the filter would block every last bit of it.

There is not one conference in Division one that this team could go .500 in. Gauranteed!
