I'm sure his job performance will be re-evaluated at the end of next year and Jamie Pollard will make another decision at that time based off of what is best for the MBB program and the entire Athletic Department. Now... I don't put all of the blame on the misses on GMAC. His assistants recruit as well and probably give him scouting reports on these kids. Maybe our assistants don't know how to evaluate talent and feed GMAC a load of bad information?

Or maybe....wait for it....McD can't handle being a big time basketball coach, doesn't handle pressure or people well, gets out coached on a regular basis, doesn't have any idea of how to recruit to a BCS conference, and doesn't' know what it takes to win?
That's my guess, instead of making excuses 5 YEARS AFTER HIS HIRE!!!!!

That's my guess, instead of making excuses 5 YEARS AFTER HIS HIRE!!!!! To be fair, it's only been 4.1 years.

if
x/4.1 > x/5 than
Y=2,500,000
with x being the amount of suck (or wins) and Y being well McD. I think this is the formula that JP is using that all the apologist are using to tell us we are stupid.

Re: Colvin gone according to Fox Sports
I don't think it's strictly a numbers problem. I think it's more of an engineering problem.
For example, if I visit a site where the septic system has gone anaerobic and the odor of rotten eggs assaults me while I'm still in my car....a QUARTER mile from the site...... do you think the homeowner is going to be interested in hearing me tell him. "Well, on the bright side? Only 10% of your yard is saturated badly enough that raw sewage is bubblin' to the surface. The other 90% is still fine."
Sometimes, the 10% of abject suckiness completely overwhelms the 90% of marginal competence and ends up ruining the whole darn thing.
But what do I know about numbers? I'm pasty white. -

Sewage is as sewage does. To be fair, I didn't actually SAY that Coach Mac is a giant puddle of fecal soup. It's more like.............the product of his coaching efforts over the last 4 years certainly APPEARS to have many similarities to raw sewage.

The kid was a freshman, so he wasn't going to dominate right off the bat. The kid is what, 18 years old, maybe 19? His character isn't fully developed yet. He's going to grow up along the way, just like college students do.
How does every player become a problem once they decide to leave?

How does every player become a problem once they decide to leave? Because the players aren't the problem...

He would be a redshirt freshman with no live game experience at this level. I'm sure he's got some amount of ability, but there's no way that he tears up the Big 12 as a guy with no experience.
