All he has to do is shoot 30 per cent and not throw hot passes that we cannot catch.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -

All I mean is a guy who can distribute the ball and make good decisions.
While I was typing that, I realized that it doesn't matter how good Bubu plays, we're screwed either way. Nevermind, I don't really care about Bubu's progression.

He doesn't have to tear it up. I'm not sure who he could distribute the ball to that's going to score. We're going to be pretty limited in that regard next year. -

There is no doubt that the college basketball scene is changing and I'm not sure that I like what I see. Maybe it's just that with the internet we are hearing more of the crap that is going on than we used to. Maybe its always been there we just didn't hear about it.

Re: Colvin gone according to Fox Sports
I think what Pgreen is missing in his arguement is that there is no team left to hurt.

Compare this to Henry at ku who was riding the bench. His transfer would probably have helped that teams chemistry.

At this point colvin was our team and we literally have nothing left to lose or help by him leaving.
I think what he is missing are 98% of his functioning brain cells....

We've lost 2 starters in WJ and Ham and a most likely starter in CC in 2 years. Everyone else was basically looking for playing time. Not saying there weren't FAR too many recruiting misses, but we've only lost 3 frontline players over GMacs tenure.

He says he expects it to be 300 or so, so less than one transfer per team.
We are averaging *well* above that amount, every single year of McDermott's tenure.

Man I miss the good ole days when everyone on here was trying to figure out how we would fit barnes on the team because he would put us over the scholarship limit *sigh*

I heard somewhere that Colvin was just like TO and B. Marshall.

Did anyone ever stop to think that those non-frontline players that transferred out were the guys that should have been the starters of the future 2 or 3 years down the road? And that the fact that they aren't here is the precise reason that we haven't seen progress in the W/L column?
Those are they guys that need to be developing into the starters of the future while also giving you some depth off the bench in the mean time. Just because they weren't starters at the time doesn't mean it didn't hurt us.
Also, you missed Lucca, pretty sure a starter bolting mid-season should count as the loss of a frontline guy.

So we count on newcomers and freshmen every year to build a team, but aren't building any sort of chemistry or cohesion along the way.

How is it that this sort of information is in some obscure hidden website in the massive internet and yet it is not available to the Cyclone public?

Owens and Marshall were surrounded by players of near equal and sometimes better talent.
Problem in this situation is Colvin was the most talented guard we had and was bound to be the future of the team success wise. There is no way his departure will result in more W's next year. Yes, it may result in a better attitude among the team but their happy smiles don't mean jack when we're getting hammered by 40 courtesy of KU.
