Don't think that I saw that in the collective bargaining agreement.:jimlad:
I am just dumbfounded by the fact that, that one dude on here is saying that Colvin leaving is a good thing.
1)It is rarely good when anybody leaves your program
2)It is exceptionally bad when a talented PG leaves your program
In order to be a cancer in the locker room, don't we have to have other players left in the locker room? I don't even know if we will have enough guys to field a team next year.
Good move Chris, get out while you can. After another crappy season of GMac next year, it will take anyone new at least a couple years to fix the mess. You were never going to see the tourney at ISU. Best to move on and enjoy the remainder of your college career.
If he had a coach that ran a better program you would see a kid mature....and become a better basketball player as a whole. Pretty cool attacking a freshman that plays on a horribly coached team.
It is the COACHES FAULT that these instances continue to happen. FIRE GREG MCDERMOTT.
Anyone who suggests that this is a good thing has no clue about basketball. His numbers weren't pretty, but his potential was obvious to anyone watching him play. He would have been a very, very good player, and I think would have been All-Big 12 by his senior year.
I wonder if we will be the first MBB team in NCAA history to have 2 players drafted into the NBA and not make the NCAA tourney (or even the NIT, for that matter). It's even worse when you consider another of our former players is also in that same NBA draft class.
I looked over that list UMKC appears to be leading the pack with 4 transfers out...followed closely by us and Northern Illinois at 3 transfers out.
Colvin didn't put up great stats, but I thought there were many times during the season when I saw flashes of great potential. I think his court vision is amazing.
Big, big loss IMO. I'm still trying to get used to the idea of losing big next season, not just being a couple of games under .500 like we have been, but maybe single digit win totals. Ugh.
Xavier Thames is transferring from Washington State---we were in his final 3 before he chose to stay committed to WAZZU...Wouldn't mind having him transfer in for the 2011-2012 season although it is highly unlikely...
Also, Ian Markolf and J'Mison Morgan are both transferring (both held ISU scholarships at one point)
