Re: Colvin gone according to Fox Sports
Losing Colvin will be a postive for this team! He was a 4-star recruit, has a great deal of God-given talent, and a has a lot of up-side potential. However, statistically he was horrible and he was an absolute cancer in the locker room.

Really sucks to lose the one guy on this team that actually displayed some high level point guard skills. -

You mean a guy who has more turnovers than assists; shoots less than 30% on the year (less than 20% behind the arc); and has zero leadership skills? Just what I'm looking for in a point guard.

Re: Colvin gone according to Fox Sports
Funny how good recruits just don't seem to work out here at ISU isn't it?

Ya sure his stats werent there yet, but he had talent that you couldnt teach. The stats will come once he matures.

Colvin didn't have any legal issues or anything like that... His only problem is that he MAY not have the attitude to utilize his "God-given talent", or so you claim. Last I remember, Jamaal Tinsley was off with Stephen Jackson shooting pistols in nightclubs and getting marijuana charges filed against him. He was enough of a problem on and off the court that the pacers PAID HIM TO STAY AWAY. A lot more extreme than colvin, but Eustachy reined him in pretty well, didn't he?
It all comes back to coaching.

Re: Colvin gone according to Fox Sports
Now if we could just get rid of DG, Dendy, JVB.....we might just have a a chance....
Ok this is what I started to post and was going to add punch line, but this is beyond comical at this point. Think back to what this board was like prior to the Northwestern game...talk about deep tournament runs (from the average joe, not just the usual suspects) and now we are barely putting a team on the court. On one hand I don't know that a coaching change in mid April is going to help, given you won't likely get who you would want anyway, but wow. On the other hand what do you have to lose. It is going to take years to get back anyway. Talk about up a creek with out a paddle.
