I've seen multiple posts in that thread stating it was classy and gracious of the players. I also saw a post that one of the football players said it was the players idea to call and thank the season ticket holders.

I guess the football team must be a part of a different generation than the basketball players because the football team seems to be the complete opposite of entitled. And none of them seemed to leave when things started going badly (Chiz years and Chiz quitting).

Mr. Pollard owes an apology for lumping an entire generation in with one teams problems. That or I fear what the nation will be like when guys like our football players are in charge. People calling customers to thank them for their business and support. Man, we're really going down the crapper.

That is the dumbest thing I've heard. Don't you realize a person setting an example for these athletes (AD) should teach them it is ok to make disparaging generalizations about groups of people when your target audience will agree with your generalizations. The young men and women should especially take note this is a useful tactic when making an excuse or deflecting blame for a larger problem. Hopefully JP can ignore your excellent post and sweep that little tidbit about the existence of resilient, hard working and appreciative young men under the rug before folks make that same connection.

It would be interesting to hear him respond to your message.
