Re: NEW BASKETBALL OFFER
What i need to understand is why people hate on CIMD and KG? They bring positive forward-looking news and are a ray of sunshine in the otherwise bleak wilderness of ISU basketball. Neither have promised anything or hidden anything and while at times they've been off the mark, they have insight that no one else on this board has. If you think they're blowing smoke, keep it to yourself or start your own thread. CIMD has some news on a kid that may have some interest in our Cyclones and you've immediately impugned CIMD AND the kid that only 1 other person on this board has even heard about.
Its always easier to hang back and lob the written criticisms than to put yourself out there like CIMD and KG by providing us REAL program info albeit from the sunny side of the street (which is how I like it). There is much they can't share and I'm sure they would love to tell more but they have a duty (haha I said dooty) of confidence.
Lets just take the news as there are young men (and women for the sake of BF) that have an interest in putting themselves into the fishbowl of ISU athletics.

Somehow a 7-1 guy in HS with a "deadly mid range game" seems unlikely to be so dominant that he will force the governing body to change the rules...don't you think? Awesome, pertains directly to our program and this recruit. Why must you take every comment which has a sarcastic tone to it, make it into a serious comment and then give a fact about 30+ years ago which argues it?
Also, yes it is unlikely. What would they do? Would they not allow him to shoot or what?
It seems you take every single thing that could be a positive down the road and turn it into something that either hurts us or does no good. You try to run down recruits we may get and pick apart their game to make it look like they are not worth it. Often times you compare it to something in the past that is an unreasonable comparison.

Honestly, if I were those two, I wouldn't even post here. I would keep it in the Social Group which they are moving too. The people in the Social Group care and are open mined about things like this while the majority of people out here simply look for a reason to discount the information or make the information into something that will not help this team.

Good stuff CIMD. This looks like a solid spring pickup.

That be us.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -

CIMD never said that the kid would own the world. He simply shared a surprise that could be a nice bit of good news for our program's future, and I'm not expecting much of anything from a freshman.

I fully expect DeMarcus Phillips to erase all memories of Michael Jordan.
I fully expect Jordan Railey to erase all memories of Kevin Garnett.
These are my expectations, and they better happen, or I'll post up a storm.

Edit: Yep. Just checked. Guess he'll have to be more like a Dwight Howard then. -

I want to expect Melvin Ejim to be Scottie Pippen, but that almost seems passe.

I don't get while people have to hate on CIMD. If people knew he grew up on the mean streets of Columbus Junction they wouldn't talk so much smack. He could have most of you fools capped if he was feelin it....
