We are now getting beat out by mid majors for back up and filler recruits.

What was wrong with the original post? I see nothing wrong. Don't drag this site down with antagonistic posts people. I found it informative. Losing the recruit was news to me.

re: Clark to TCU
It must be the website.
It cannot be the shoes and jerseys, the weather, the academics in the business school, the playting time, the style of play, the mono bugthe conference under expansion attack, the assistants, the Hilton magic, the tweets, the other coaches, the TV media, the newspapers, the bloggers, the NCAA, the pros, the German bench, the looks of cheerleaders, Cyclone Alley, the training facility, the bus to des Moines Airport, or the UNI Panthers running rings around everyone,
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -
re: Clark to TCU
We didn't want him anyway.
Wait, no- we did want him. But it's his fault. Kids nowadays, you know....

re: Clark to TCU
I'm in the same boat as Stewo right now.
Somebody with inside info please say we have other viable options...please. I don't care if you don't have names, just say there is in fact something in the works.
We can't possibly be looking to "bank" all 4 (please God).
It's nail biting time...

If you are doing a significant portion of your recruiting for the immediate year in the spring, that is already a bad sign since the majority of the best players announce in the fall.
If you are doing a significant portion of your recruiting for the immediate year in the spring, and losing out on your top offers, that is a worse sign.
If you are doing a significant portion of your recruiting for the immediate year in the spring, losing out on your top offers, and yet will still have no choice but to keep working your way down the talent ladder to find bodies -- that is where ISU is at.

TCfreakingU. Starting to get as bad as Walden losing recruits to UNO. If you are going to pardon GMac for losing Barnes to NC (I do not) then you sure as hell better be all over GMac for this one.
I don't care who is the coach at ISU, four years from now our situation will be better one way or another. What a bonehead decision by that kid. He screwed up. There are more opportunities at ISU than TCU regardless of the coaching situation.

You are missing one key component of the issue which is that McD was forced to fill spots in the spring that he did not know were going to be open last fall. Before you say that it is his fault that the players left also consider that most on this board have a strong disdain for recruiting over current players.
Before the season started most on this board were wondering where we are going to put the players that we were recruiting since there was no more room. Now these same people are complaining that there are too many vacancies.
