I would think that if the buyout were the only hurdle (Creighton wanted GM, GM wanted to go) some sort of deal could be arranged that was suitable for everyone involved.

This is wild speculation, but it's not totally crazy to see McDermott taking the vacancy at Creighton now that Altman is going to Oregon.

I notice Keeler suggested something similar in his DMR blog.

I guess it was only a matter of time before the idea got thrown out there.

I'm going to say no. This is not the time of year to try and find a new coach. The fact that Oregon took so long is going to make it difficult for Creighton to find a descent coach. We don't want Creighton to put that on us.
