I feel bad for these kids. I hope the new staff likes both of them and they still become Cyclones. I cant imagine accepting a Big 12 offer and then having the coach leave the same day.

Yeah, this seems odd on so many parts. With the recruits and two assistant coaches. You would hope that he was open with all of them (maybe not the assistant coaches since the CU job was not open at the time).

I think if we can keep Nurse & Grayer, either under a new head coach or with one becoming the HC and one staying as an assistant, there won't be as much turnover of recruits.

But if those two signed Sunday, I'd bet the transition was already in progress, so they knew.

A couple of things...

1) Just because nearly everyone bailed when GM came on board does not mean that happens with every coaching change. Some coaches are smart enough to re-recruit the kids they want to keep when they take a new job.

2) It's not like we have a bunch of can't miss recruits that have been committed and signed for months waiting with baited breath to play for the great GM. If these guys don't come or the new coach doesn't think they have it then we will just move on to others that have not yet signed.

Who, in their right mind, would commit to a school knowing that they have no head coach? I think Mac bent them over and I don't expect them to be Cyclones at all. Unless we make a really good hire, that is.

I was 100% wrong about Creighton as well. I thought it was total BS.

You also have to look at the rest of these kids OFFERS. Did they get any major schools after them? If not they still are signed with a big 12 school so they are getting what they wanted.
