    Wouldn't be surprised if this happens. Most likely to be Nurse if it does.

    I don't think that it is out of the realm of possibilities. I see two reasons why this is taking so long.

    1 JP is a tough negotiator, and I am sure he is being a stickler for getting his $800K, and any buyouts on the assistants contracts.

    2 JP is working on a way to mitigate the situation - ie: Nurse will be interim head coach until a new head coach is hired.
