Can't we ever back anything and hope for the best at Iowa State? If these coaches were brought up I am guessing these would be the complaints:

Mike Krzyzewski – Too hard to spell name
Roy Williams – Hate him because he stole HB and hated him at KU
Billy Donovan – Can’t recruit in the Midwest
Rick Pitino – Don’t like Italians
Bobby Knight – Too mean
Jim Calhoun – Too old
John Calipari – His players are too good and leave early
Tom Izzo – Made LE drink too much
Lute Olson – Yuck..he was at Iowa
Fred Hoiberg – No experience


On and on and on and on

3. The reality, all hires are risky, but, this is the hire to wow the fan base.

he hasn't even made his first coaching decision and everyone is already throwing him under the bus.

it may not have been your top pic for whatever reason but its not fair to hate on him before he's even stepped foot on court as a coach.

it will be a lot easier for him to succeed with fans cheering for him instead of against him.

like it or not he is our new coach. embrace it and support isu

Get a grip. In no way is comparing our complaining about a no experience coach to these legends a logical comparison.

Only one I can think of is PR with the football team, and that's worked out well so far. Probably worth giving Hoiberg a chance based off of that alone.
