    Nurse and Grayer not Mac's hires???

    Okay this is a stretch - but the speed of all this makes me wonder if NN and JG were hired with the intention of serving under Hoiberg? I don't know if anyone has brought this up yet. Of course, I've been mowing grass for 2.5 hours and it may have had some weird effects on me.

    Perhaps it is conspiracy theory thinking - but I can definitely see a connection between NN and Hoiberg - Development league coach and VP of NBA club. I also see this as a lot of ammo on the recruiting trail - two guys who know what it takes to get into the NBA (actually a 3rd with Grayer). The college game is more & more evolving into the NBA game - I think these guys are hired to bring that type of game to Hilton!

    Okay, I've opened up myself to criticism : ) Anyway, just a few thoughts. (I could easily be proven wrong soon enough if NN or Grayer don't stay put.)
    Utah Utes, Illinois Illini. The University of Pennsylvania thought about following this pattern by calling themselves the Pennsylvania Pencils. However, they were afraid their students would start chanting "We're No. 2"

    Neither will be here according to emails.
    A program isn't built on one player and it doesn't succeed because of one player, thus a program won't fail if it doesn't get that one player.

    Who's decision was this. I'm a little surprised that Grayer wasn't retained in some capacity after Hoiberg's ringing endorsement of him when he got hired. Also, if we are going to pay Nurse his full salary, why not keep him on?

    What I've heard is that Nurse never signed a contract so we aren't on the hook for his salary if he doesn't stay...
