The Mayor's Contract
Other have mentioned that the contract is still being worked on.
What does everything think (or have been hearing) that we will pay Hoiberg or how long his contract will be?

Re: The Mayor's Contract
I'd say somewhere in the ball park of, 6 years at 800K plus incentives.
-
Re: The Mayor's Contract
My guess is 5 years at 750k plus incentives.

Re: The Mayor's Contract
I've got no confidence in Jamie negotiating a good deal for Iowa State. He'll find some way to screw this one up like he did with McD's contract.

To expand more...
I think we'll see a salary model similar to what Pollard did with the Football program when PR was hired. ISU will surround Hoiberg with some seasoned, high-paid assistants.

Re: The Mayor's Contract
My guess is that TJs and Hoiberggs salaries will not be extremely different. My guess is 5 @ 600,000
I'm on Twitter too: Tre4ISU
Or so I have read. -

Re: The Mayor's Contract
How do you pay a guy who has a key to the city already...I mean Freddy will prob. be given a plot of land by Dick Jensen and free food from every restaurant in town.......what does Freddy need money for....
It's Fred's Floor now, let him have it!

Re: The Mayor's Contract
I would hope something around 6 years, with incentives. And when things are looking up in a couple years, extend him.
Don't confuse hope for a plan. -
Re: The Mayor's Contract
I think we will be looking at about 5 years with a very good assistant package and lots of incentives. Probably around $800,000. I think that is about what McD was making when he left.

Re: The Mayor's Contract
GMac, as a relatively in demand coach started here at 650 with 50k annual raises.
Given that Hoiberg was not in demand from just about anyone (there is no denying that whether you support his hire or not), we should have held almost all the power in our contract negotiations.
That said, Jamie hasnt exactly been known for well done contracts...
