Iowa State walk-on basketball player Alex Dorr, of Norwalk, is transferring to the University of Mary in Bismarck, N.D.

Dorr played in 17 games last season as a true freshman.

It's so sad that this seems like an accomplishment. Even if Coach Hoiberg never accomplished another thing (and I think he'll do fantastic, really), just removing the daily chaos is a wonderful bonus.
