You would think we could get a solid player off the 150. I really wish i knew who we were actually going after ( if anyone)

The guy from Iowa Western at the top was recruited by Fran and will visit Iowa on the 7th.

It would be nice if we looked at Devon Manning, a Juco kid out of Colorado. He puts up some good numbers and is getting a lot of offers. Devon Manning - Yahoo! Sports -

I still think that they could use a JUCO PG or combo guard. I don't care if he is a two year backup, we need some depth in the back court. I guess if Palo can handle the ball, they may not need to bring someone in, but that's asking a lot from him.
I wonder how they rank these players. The kid from Iowa Western is ranked third, yet has no major offers other than iowa who (like us) is scrambling due to a late coaching change. Good luck to iowa there, but ISU seems fine not offering and Drake and UNI have seen him the whole year and not offered. That's a little bit scary.

With our lack of depth at guard, I think it is imperative that we pick up another player to back up DG. I do not think Bubu is someone who can step in and play significant minutes.

We were recruiting Eric Buckner at one point. ALthough we have fille dthat position.
We were also recruting Norvell Arnold,
Nobody but HB knows for sure. You pretty much know nothing....like Knownothing would like to say.

Maybe we can just dust BP off and slip him back onto the court. He looks young enough. Give him old number 49.

He may only need to go 5 minutes per game as DG is like the energizer bunny, I guess he never gets tired. DP and SC can handle the shooting guard duties. My concern with bringing in another guard is it may derail our chances of bringing in an elite guard for 2011. If we don't bring another pt guard in for next year, the good guards in the 2011 class are going to look at our roster and see an chance to start right away. I'm not sure why we would want to bring a shooting guard either. We have two guys for the position that will be here for two more years. Some of our best teams at ISU have lacked depth, but they had quality. All I'm saying is at this juncture, we need to maximize our chances of getting the best talent in Ames as possible and if it appears to potential recruits the a lot of playing time will be available right away, I think we have a better chance of landing higher quality players.

Looking at that list really gave me an appreciation for how little talent there is available in any given year. only the top 25-30 go to high major programs.
