And are seven feet tall. He's good enough for Kansas. Just echoing what CIMD is saying. Most 7-footers are projects anyway, and the ones that aren't are drafted in the top 5. Woodbury still has two years in HS left plus several years of development in college. He'll be fine.

I know McDermott stayed on the top most of the time but Woodbury was getting schooled in that game down low...I don't think that is good news...even if it's just 1 game...hopefully he just had a bad game but I came away very unimpressed from that game.
At times he can be a pretty good player....but in an up-tempo offense he is going to really struggle...and when FH said he wants an "up-tempo" team...I can't think AW will be used to his best abilities...half-court offense.

He'll fit in any offense. Remember, he's a sophomore in high school right now. Most 7 footers as sophomores can't even walk in a straight line. Kohler and Mcdermott are both Division One athletes. I wouldn't quite say "dominated" either. Was he outplayed? Yes, but he still held his own.

Woodbury isn't good enough to go to Kansas...is a project and will take time to develop...he could really use a redshirt to bulk up...I expect him to go to Iowa or UNI...In the game I watched of AW Behlers looked way better then him...he plays for East and is a pretty good driver...don't think he has the size to play D1 but he should at least get a look.
We don't want Woodbury guys....he's a half-court player...doesn't run the floor well enough for up-tempo like FH will do...Lickliter would have been a great system coach for him.
Edit: I'm not bashing on him...just hearing people say he is going to Kansas is ridiculous...Self must be really struggling to get guys if WOodbury is a top target. Kids in 10th grade and runs floor very well. Go to Ankeny high school Friday night if you have any questions. I think you have some bad information.

He was a soph going up against seniors in high school. And really good seniors at that. He has what McDermott and Kohler don't have. HEIGHT!!

Who cares? He goes to East...
Ok seriously I have heard the kid is a stud. Hopefully we can make it happen...

I do trust coaches that get paid around 1 million dollars a year to make a judgement. But that's just me.

Exactly...I know McD and Kohler are 2 years older...but with the height advantage AW had why didn't he do better against smaller bigs?
Since big colleges are interested in AW why didn't he play better?...just sayin.

Since big colleges are interested in AW why didn't he play better?...just sayin. Because he is a high school sophomore. How many kids are 16 and 7 feet tall?!? Barely any. When they are that young they still haven't grown into their body and they aren't as coordinated as they will be a couple years down the road.
The kid is 7 feet tall and has good skills for a 16 year old. Can't teach height and thus the big time offers that are about to come his way
