How the heck did he not go to a D1 school?

Sorry I'm doing this on my iPod. Here's a better link.

He is probably 5' 10", 150 pounds, and has grade issues. His stats and bio sure look like he could be a D-1 player, but I am sure there is a reason no one went after him. If he was is the 5A TX championship, he has been seen.
I think the term "led" is probably grandstanding. 13.1 points, 3.7 assists, 1.6 steals and 1.7 rebounds on a 5A championship team is nothing to sneeze at, but I doubt he saw a ton of playing time.
FarminCy is right though...if he has bad grades, he's not getting in to Augie.
Edit: Rivals said he was invited to an Academic All-Star game in TX, and he's got a GPA of 3, so it's definitely NOT grade issues.
I think there's a separate division for private schools, so you guys aren't talking about the same 5A championship that you think you are. I could be wrong, though.
edit: Here's a blurb from ljworld.com on a KU commit from the same school that explains it a little better:
"In Peters’ first two seasons, Prestonwood Christian Academy made an appearance in the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools Class 5A state championship game. This past winter, the Lions won their first-ever state basketball title."
Ok so that makes sense. Different 5A, ok.
Yeah it wouldn't be grade issues for Auggie. Both of my aunts went there and one is a consultent in DC and the other is a nurse in Sioux Falls.
