Re: Brackins: A True Cyclone
There were not many fans that bad mouthed him. Just a select few. No reason to make it sound like we all ripped him.
Re: Brackins: A True Cyclone
I've said it before, but I think Craig is going to be successful in whatever he does with his life.
I know the past 4 years have been tough in many ways for Iowa State basketball, but having Craig around for 3 of those years has really been a pleasure.
Re: Brackins: A True Cyclone
Brackins is a great Cyclone and I wish him all the luck in the world for his professional career. He's loyal, hardworking and determined. He'll be a valuable guy on an NBA roster for the next ten years.
Re: Brackins: A True Cyclone
He still has a sweet shot for a 6-10 guy. Now that he is identified as having a 40 inch vertical, he will do fine. The spacing in the NBA is much better than on a McD discombubulated court. He will have room to maneuver.

Craig Brackins = Rashon Clark = Total Class
Re: Brackins: A True Cyclone
I remember his first conference game against Baylor.

In-light of much of the bad-mouthing he received on internet sites from Cyclones "fans," he could easily have dissed ISU in the same pissy manner as some of his detractors. By not doing so, he shows what a true Cyclone fan looks like. He sacrificed much money by coming back to ISU. We owe him, not the other way around.
Wishing him nothing but the best in the NBA where I have no doubt he will be successful.
Sorry, I don't feel like i owe him anything. He came to ISU on his own will and played basketball. Why in world would anyone "owe" him anything. By the same token I don't feel like he owes me or ISU anything either. I think it was a fair and equitable relationship for all parties, CB, ISU and fans.
Re: Brackins: A True Cyclone
CB is firmly in my top 5 favorite Cyclones. 10 years from now I'll still be ****** we couldn't surround him with more talent.

agreed - I put him right up there with the other legends ISU has had on the court. I can't wait to watch him in the NBA. Hell, he may give me a reason to actually watch the NBA again. Selfishly, I would like to see him go to the Pacers, but will be happy wherever he ends up.
Re: Brackins: A True Cyclone
Proud to cheer for Craig where ever his career takes him.
Re: Brackins: A True Cyclone
What I can't understand is how people here think Craig won't be a good pro. Did they even watch him while he played here? He is going to make a better pro than a college player in my opinion. His game and his mental set is better suited to the pro game. He didn't have the team mates or structure set up to make him that successful at ISU. If anyone perceives this as a dig at DG you'd be right. With a true point guard, willing to feed the ball to CB at the right place and at the right time CB would have aveaged 12 pts a game more than he did. My opinion anyway.
If CB goes in the second round of the draft someone will be getting a steal.
Re: Brackins: A True Cyclone
Craig will be successful for whatever team hes plays for in the future. He's a great guy with great talent and work ethic.
It was a pleasure, Craig.
