if the ADOBO can't recruit it doesn't seem like a good fit for Grayer

We have a full time position and a grad assistant open. I have heard the G.A. position will be going to Lefty Moore, former Cyclone. So that leaves the second assistants position open where we will likely see the older, experienced guy!

Then I heard Johnny Orr talking about Grayer and saying that many people don't realize that he's a guy that will get in somebody's face when they're screwing off in practice or not doing things right. I think Grayer will be an asset in an assistant position as the "bad cop" so to speak.

Any updates on Lutz or our other targets? Looks like Lutz was a candidate for the ECU job (The Gold Mine: Jeff Lebo, Bobby Lutz top candidates at ECU) but didn't get it.

I played some pick up ball with him at Beyer in the Summer of 84. First time down the court he hit me in the face with a pass. He promptly told me to catch the ball or he wouldn't be passing it any more. Message received. All you had to do was run the floor and Lefty would fine you. The good old days...

Sounds like recruiting to me, but I guess you know best. Easssssy tough guy. Go ahead and crucify me though for asking a legitimate question. Has he ever recruiting to an upper level program? Nope. Otz there isn't a reason to question his recruiting, he's done it before and proven he can do it. Grayer? Just as much of a guess as Hoiberg, but Hoiberg can put people around him that can help cover up his mistakes.
