2010-2011 This will be a tough year. But there will be some bright spots. .500 Record

2011-2012 NIT bound. A very good recruiting class of fundamentally sound basketball players who also have very good upside. Hilton Magic returns with upset of Top 20 OSU.

2012-2013 NCAA Tourney Bid as a #10 Seed with first round upset. .500 Conference record. Another very good recruiting class. Hoiberg is beginning to get a reputation as a solid bench coach and a very good recruiter. Opponents begin to have an uneasy feeling when landing in Ames and approaching The Colesium.

2013-2014 Semi Finals of Big 12 Tourney and NCAA Bid. #7 Seed with another second rough loss. Hoiberg begins to be recognized as one of the top young coaches with an excellent coaching staff. ISU lands its first McDonald's All-American since....

Ummmm no. I like your optimism though!

Like the thought but as for this upcoming season, a .500 should win FH coach of the year. Hopefully with in a couple years but this upcoming season is going to be brutal.

This season will be nothing short of brutal. Yet I can say I'm looking forward to it in some sort of way.

Honestly think our record won't be any worse than last year with a fighting chance to be a game or two above .500

I actually think we will be a few games over .500 this year. Some where around 17-14...something like that

I'd laugh if Freddy came in and had a winning record and went to the post season in year one. It can happen, see football.

I'd like it even better if those predictions were bumped up a year, NIT in Year 1 & so on. But that would be painfully optimistic.

With Marcus Paige or Peter Jok, we could end up getting a McDonald's All-American very easily before the 2014-2015 season.

DG, SC, Phillips, and Anderson may be our best backcourt in four years. We'll have a chance at least.....

I've never heard Marcus Paige being mentioned as a possible McDAA. Everything I've heard has him probably as a high 3 or 4 star recruit.

I love prediction threads. Who's ever even close to getting these things right? Last month everyone wrote off ISU basketball because of Mac's contract and Creighton came along and saved the day. I don't know anyone who saw that coming, so too many things can happen between now and then. Saying that I predict a national championship in two years because I like to fantasize big.
