Re: Iowa State @ Iowa: Friday, Dec. 10
I feel that this could be our basketball program's version of the "Dirty Thirty"
For "I", for "S", forever!
For Iowa State all the way.
Let's go! To show them what the gang's all here for,
Go! To show them how the Cyclones cheer.
For "I", for "S", forever!
For Iowa State do it right!
It's time to climb up on the vict'ry wagon,
Fight! Iowa State, Fight! Fight! -

Re: Iowa State @ Iowa: Friday, Dec. 10
Our only 'big' nonconference games are Iowa, UNI, Drake, Creighton, and a game at Virginia. The rest of our opponents are of the likes of Kennesaw State.

Mook,
Your Mountain West conference prediction in your signature is actually a pretty strong basketball conference (at least in terms of fan support and historically solid programs). The MWC had four teams in the Tourney this year (SDSU, UNLV, Utah and BYU) and three of those teams have great fan support and tremendous basketball history. UNLV's won more National Championships then Texas and they are STILL the only basketball show in town in Vegas. Plus, the football side of it looks better and better each passing year with the improvement in Utah and Boise. BYU has always been good.
It may only be a slight step down from the Big XII if the doomsday scenario that all the chicken littles are squawking about comes to pass, which I don't think will happen, but if so, I'm pulling for the Mountain West (which would obviously be a new BCS conference if the teams you list are in it).
As for the game, I don't understand why this game keeps getting scheduled for Friday nights the past few years. It's not ideal.
