Give it time to sort itself out before freaking out.

BXII may still exist with some Texas teams after all is said and done.

We will be in the big 12 for two more years. I also think we will be in what is considered a BCS conference after that.

Masss exodus. You just sold all these recruits on playing in the best conference (bball) around. Now, all you can pitch is Ames, and that isn't going to get you much.

There's no question that this will hurt recruiting. On Odunsi's case specifically, I talked to him on Sunday. He is very tight with Coach Otzelberger and didn't have any other high-major offers anyway. He seems very happy with his commitment to Iowa State and our coaches. Sure, things could change but I thought I'd pass along our conversation.

I guess I was using him as a case study. He's committed to ISU and/or the people and staff. That's awesome.

Would he have gotten to that comfort level if we weren't in the B12?

Frankly, it's to early to know the effect because we may land on our feet.

as of right now all we have lost (possibly of course) is Colorado and Nebby...both of which aren't really known as bball schools...hopefully the Texas schools stay in the big 12 and we can just add 2 more schools. (alot of hoping going on!)

I don't think either of those two schools even play basketball. Shoot Colorado does not play football anymore. Actually what sport does Colorado participate in? Seriously do they have a good sport at CU?

yep thats exactly what i was saying...so far we havent lost anything. but that could change within the next 5 minutes...

I hope the Big 12 survives also. We need 2 teams, or 4 or 6 within a week or two, and a $25M/team TV deal!!! Just give me 5 minutes!!!!!!!!!!!!!
