Re: Negative Spin Machine
I just read it. I think you might be a tad overly sensitive on the issue. Seems all he did was take the average of the rankings provided by these draft prediction sites, and go with the number that arrived.

Yeah, it is pure hack work, no doubt. It isn't even journalism. But it really isn't that negative.

It's the fact that he starts it by basically saying "Don't watch the draft for the first two hours, Brackins doesn't have a shot."
If an Iowa guy was even mentioned in the first round, we'd have a draft watch of epic proportions going on.

That's because a rare event like that is comparable to Haley's Comet or sighting bigfoot.

They still hang their hat on Acie Earl and his two-tier flat top.
Re: Negative Spin Machine
Just lazy writing as usual.
Re: Negative Spin Machine
We'll be waiting a whole lot longer to see the first Hawkeye get drafted. Funny - I don't think Keeler even mentioned the Hawks in the draft.

You'd think the fact that ISU has two potential NBA draftees would be a positive thing in media coverage. But of course not in Central Iowa.
Could you imagine if the Hawkeyes had two potential draft picks? That would probably warrant multiple front page articles about how their program is the place to go to make it to the NBA.
