The back up plan for 08 could possibly be a kid named Colton Iverson out of SD. I have heard his name mentioned. He will not appear on rivals or scout. Kind of an unknown right now.

The way I heard him described he would be a Grant Stout/Jared Homan type guy. Sounded like a defensive guy right now and would need some work on offense. That is really all I know.

While we are on the topic of a recruit from South Dakota, may also want to keep an eye on Cody Larson, a 6-foot-8 freshman forward from Sioux Falls (SD) Roosevelt.

I looked up his stats for his SD AAU team - South Dakota Heat - so far for the summer he has 18 blocks and 45 rebounds in 5 games and is shooting at 64% from the field but only 58% from the line. The question I have relates to the competition he is playing against, but I like his size as having rebounding/shot blocking role players is important for making runs in the tournament.

Usually the competition isn't too bad in those parts.

Krabbenhoft was a rarity. Although a while back, you may recognize the name Mike Miller out of Mitchell, SD. There aren't a lot of guys that come out of our area in SD, but every once in a while, you'll run across someone special. I had the esteemed privilege of watching Krabbenhoft stomp my High School team for a couple years, and I remember watching Miller when he completely destroyed every team in the conference at the state tournament.
There aren't too many 6-8 guys out here to begin with, but he could play the point and shoot the 3 better than anyone else in the state, so no one really stood a chance. |

Psyched,
Do you have any knowledge of this kid being a back up to Crittle, Markloff or Davilla?

No, I haven't heard anything specific about whether ISU will offer him or whether he is a backup plan to the ones you've mentioned. I believe he has offers from South Dakota, North Dakota State and South Dakota State. He seems to be on the radar screen for Creighton, Eastern Kentucky, and Iowa.
As far as Markolf, I think you can cross him off the list along with Zeller, Morgan, and Breshers. I have heard mixed things about Crittle so I don't know exactly where things stand with him. Wake Forest is recruiting Davila very hard but ISU still has a reasonable chance, IMHO.
